So Where Did the Dragonfly Temple Chronicles Come From Anyway?

So maybe you didn’t come here to specifically ask this question, but in case you’re wondering, I’m going to answer it anyway. You deserve to know, after all, if you’re spending time here.

The Dragonfly Temple Chronicles come from a lifetime lived and several elements and experiences that tie it all together. At the less-than-tender age of 57, believe me, there is plenty of experience behind that statement.

Having the astrological sign of Libra as an ascendant means I demand balance in all things. And having less than 2 or 3 decades of life experience under your belt usually doesn’t give one the insight to understand that. That’s okay. Life is meant to be lived and experienced. We interpret the results as we go along and adjust our rudders accordingly.

I believe that the need for balance has kept me sane and out of trouble my entire life, but it has also been a source of deep frustration. Every time I am out of balance, I feel it acutely and if bad enough, stop everything to set it to rights. This is particularly troublesome if you don’t know what your purpose is in life. Most of my life, I didn’t.

Weaving the Threads Together

And that’s the funny part. While I didn’t know (or acknowledge) what my path was, I was doing it, it turns out all my life. It was only when I turned 50 that I fully embraced it. When that happened, I realized that a life I thought had been spent drifting, could be looked back at and woven into something new and amazing never before seen by anyone. And the vehicle for weaving it together was through writing.

What You Will Find Here

That being known, it is simple to answer the question now.

You will find each of the threads of my life represented in the characters in my series. And if you look close enough, you will not only get to know me a little better, but you will also see yourself in their reflections.

Blessings,
